Spicy Jim Jeaw Dipping Sauce

This recipe is for one of the most common dipping sauces you can find anywhere in Thailand. We dip (or soak) it with almost anything, but it was made to eat with grilled chicken (Gai Yang).

Cooking time: 5 minutes

Serving: 1-2

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp Wild Rice Pad Thai sauce
  • 1-2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp shallots (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp dried chili flakes
  • 2 tsp lime or lemon juice (preferably lime)
  • 1 tsp toasted rice powder (optional)
  • A few sprigs coriander (finely chopped)

Methods:

  1. Mix all ingredients together apart from toasted rice in a mixing bowl.
  2. Adjust spiciness/sourness as you like. Add fish sauce if you like it more salty.
  3. Top with toasted rice.
  4. Enjoy!
